What is a good SACD player for $200 or under?

if youre willing to buy used, i think the Sony CE-775 fits the bill.

there have been many positive comments on that, as well as the NV500 (i'm not sure of the exact model number)

Sony SCD-CE775 and Sony DVP-NS500v are the full model numbers.

These seem to be the best budget SACD players available.

how about the Philips 763 model?

i found it shipped for 193.00

any word on performance?

Sony NS500V was all the rage a couple months ago.. Great SACD performance for $150 (if you find a good price). However many say there are better options for redbook.

The Absolute Sound said that the DVP-NS500V was on par with the Rega Planet in terms of redbook CD performance. Having never heard the Rega, I am impressed with the NS500V's performance as a DVD player alone. To think it rivals a well-received audiophile CD player, not to mention having SACD capability, it's an amazing machine for $170.00 (what I paid for it at Best Buy).
