I have a Hifiman 601 and want IEM to use with it. Is there anyone who have tested different Hifiman IEM with 601? I use Grado SR 80 today and really like the open airy warm sound that combo gives.

There is no hifiman dealer where I live, so I cant listen to them. Hoping for your help.

I listen to a lot of jazz an acoustic music too, and in my mind the RE-0 combines well with the 601.

The neutral IEMs like Etymotic HF5 will pair well with HM-601 and they sound detailed yet offers good bass response.

Thanks for your help. It stands between 262 and 272. I wish I could hear them before i make the choice.

As I get it 262 is more warm and soft whith more musicality compared whith the brighter and analytical 272. 601 is warm so maby 272 is the better combo.

I have read reviews about 262 and 272 and the opinion is very different. I love the sound that my 601 with Grado SR 80 makes. And thats is my reference. The smooth and airy liquid sound blows me away. As i get it the 262 and 272 is very diffrent. My concern is if 262 is muddy in combo whith 601. And if 272 is to analytic.

Sorry about my english :)

272 is a great IEM and i simply love it

I had 262 before , and it has a veiled,rolled off treble

If your 601 is on the warm side , i think you should go for the 272

I use 272 with my J3 and i am extremely happy

Another friend of mine who had 262 and got 272 as well , agrees that the 272 is an upgrade sonic-wise

but like i said , i don't know how the 601 sounds

if it's on the warm side , get the 272
