As a Kid i got an Akai tape deck + cheap Phillips Cans from my father.
Can't remember which models that was (as a child you dont care anyways)
Still have the Akai deck and it's workling. The cheapo Phillips Cans are gone.

Sony XM series (3 and 4). I used to be able to deal with the heat/pain from the stuffy pads as a trade off for the ANC, but I just can’t do it anymore. I switched to some ANC buds now when I want to block out the world.

Ultrasone Pro 900 was my jam back in the day. I tried it recently and wow way too much bass for me. We are talking almost a decade later now, so yeah.

I have an Ultrasone 750i and 880 and those are much more in line with a bass emphasized flavor that I enjoy but the 900 is just overboard with that bass quantity.

Used to love them, but after upgrading to Empyrean and beyond I didn't enjoy the Shure anymore.

Senny HD25's and Momentums were my old gateways but eventually mid-fi happened.

LCD2C and Aeon Flow Closed - Denon 9200s surpass the strengths of both with richer mids.
Neither really serves a purpose 'cept the the 2Cs are open and the AFCs are super comfy and simply genius design.
