I've recently headband modded the KSC75 and taken an interest in 80's headbands as a result. I also just happened to watch American Psycho again and was shocked to witness the parts-express model featuring prominently.
I looked up the Walkman player referenced but couldn't find the same headphones bundled.

I found a similar styled Sony Walkman headphones but they're still different to the movie. Notably the cord is attached to the headband whereas checking the parts-express is to the driver. In the close up shots in the movie there's no branding like typically expected on Sony but just the L in the middle indicating left side.
I wonder what the prop choice exactly was to not use real 80's quality headphones. However it is satisfying to see the headband has 80's aesthetics good enough for the big screen. I'm going to combine my KSC75 headband with blue pads to recreate the throwback look.
update:
I found this that looks the same from Sony. But closely comparing the top and bottom profile of the arms to the phone scene at the end it's actually not the one used in the film. It seems the parts-express is an almost visually identical clone to the Sony but was the model used on screen.
