I would have serious reservations about $80 "just because" too...

To go back to the topic - I'm listening to my RS-1s and every version of "The Best Is Yet To Come" that I have in the library on one playlist. Starting with Sinatra. :happy_face1:

I'm always amazed at the difference in price going north of the border...
 
I lucked out....I got my S500 for $47.10 shipped. Less than 48 hours later, the price jumped....although they've come down a little bit.
That said, I paid $106 for my former ATH-WS55, and the S500 are significantly better than the WS55 are, IMO.
