What headphones are you currently rocking?

Tried the new Sony X headphones (MDR-X10) earlier.

What did you think? I couldn't stand them at Best Buy, but I don't even like the way the HDJ2000 sounds on their testing equipment.

Been using the Koss Porta Pro a lot recently with my rockboxed clip zip and I really like them.

Just got an ATH-ESW9A from Best Buy and really liking them for a truly portable setup...

The Hifiman HE-400. I really love these cans. My Shure SRH840 and Senn HD558 have been collecting dust since I acquired these bad boys.

Holy moly! Listening to Glenn Gould: Back: The Goldberg Variations (binaural recording) on CD with my SR-009s and I am simply awestruck! Its like I'm in the room with Mr. Gould (and he was a genius with the piano too!).

Build was very disappointing for a Sony - I expected more aluminum/magnesium/etc but they're mostly all plastic. :frowning2:

Sound was bass-boomy, mids were recessed and cupped sounding, and the top-end was less than perfect. They weren't offensive in any way, and I could see their appeal compared to a lot of the celebrifones they seem designed to challenge, but they aren't spectacular when it comes to sonics.

The build quality was the biggest let-down; if they were as metal as I expected, I could probably let the lackluster sound slide, but they really don't feel like what I'd expect from a Sony.

I just got done watching The Two Towers and The Return Of the King on my tablet, listening through my JVC HA-S500s.

Been bumpin my DT880/600s for the past week, can't get enough of them. Fantastic change-up from my HD650s.

So just how different do they sound from the SR60i I used to have? And yes, the 60i are the only Grados I have ever heard.

Practically perfect in every way? :p

It's a big improvement imho. Better/more perfect imaging and staging, spot-on voicing, and the best bass I've ever experienced from a dynamic. The SR-60 certainly have earned all of their praise and accolades, but the RS-1 have earned theirs too.

Well, maybe someday, I'll get my hands on a pair.....

Currently switching between the K240 and DT880/600 when I want to go with full size.
Still I think they're being outperformed by my Westone 4 but I can't always run around with something stuck in my ears - even with the super comfortable PA910S tips I'm starting to get a headache after about 3 hours.
