It's not properly a headphone amp; it's a Sony STR-DE185 stereo receiver connected to the audio output of an iMac. My Sony MDR V6 used to be connected directly to the iMac, but its sound quality has been transformed quite remarkably with this receiver. Within the limitations of a closed headphone, with the receiver connection the left-to-right dimensionality and frequency range has been significantly enhanced. The V6 has gained new life.
