MK stands for Mark.

I picked it up when I was looking up some stuff about Star Wars. I just came across the term randomly and it stuck with me.

As in "trademark", or better yet, Maker's Mark, which is damn fine bourbon, let's ditch this thread and go drink some.

I think the auto companies were the first to use like Mark 4 to mean "version".

Now how about that drink.
