I am trying to figure out what to use to connect a DIY headphone cable that I build, to a pair of Edition 9 headphones. I am not talking about soldering the wires on the driver. I mean where the cable goes though the hole of the ear cup. What do you use to seal that hole and keep the cable in place?

I was hoping to be able to reuse the rubber piece that is on the stock headphone cable already, but it is permanently fastened to the cable.

Any ideas?
