What Do You Use For Burn-In?

Chuck Norris doesn't burn in his headphones - he merely raises his arms to the sky and tenses his biceps at the required frequency.

It's really cool to hear the differences it makes even after a night

Just get a Whitehouse or Merzbow CD, give you a bunch of different kinds of noise in one easy package, and for about the same cost as a pink noise CD

Music. That's what I bought the phones for.

I tend to use hip-hop for burning in... it only makes sense that music with lots of bass & highs will really open them up.

Static noise that contains all frequencies from 20Hz to 20Khz.

having accumulated, over time, the xlo test, the chesky demo disc, the denon audiotechnical and the alan parsons & stephen court test cd, I am using them very sparingly. I hear from others that new headphones, or new cables, benefit from running a burn-in track over night - but for myself, I enjoy using the in-/out-of-phase stuff, for positioning and tweaking of the setups.

Music. Listening to your headphones right out of the box allows you to appreciate them that much more when they are fully burned in.

X2.

Hi folks. I didn't want to start a new thread just for this question and I'm guessing someone here will know the answer.

How long should it take for my HD595's to burn in properly? I'm not enjoying the bass too much at the moment. Sure it's precise, but there's not a lot of weight to it. Thing is I'm not too sure how good it can get.

Thanks for listening.
