Just to get an idea of what people are using in between their TUBE AMPS. Capital Tube so that i know if using different dacs can affect the sound or not. So post what your using as well as the amp your using it with.

My future rig would most likely include the singlepower extreme and i would like to know what you guys are using. Thanks.

Post away!

using a modded Zhaolu D2.5A, with 4562 opamps, blackgates, txco clock.

ALso going between that and a Lavry DA10.

For my laptop, im using a G-Vibe USB DAC (PCM2702).

Both going to my Headroom Millet hybrid...before that i was using a Darkvoice 336i.

Pics worth a thousand words...

A well designed amp should not do much to a signal. You can color based on the tubes chosen, but the goal of an amp is to stay out of the way and let the source shine. As such, the DAC will have the most impact on the sound. I use a tube dac with a tube amp with good results. IMO

WORD. What ast said...I'll just borrow his pic, because mine is exactly the same.

As for the DAC coloring the sound...if you want to completely forget about that, and have natural presentation, non-digital sound (no harshness), and absolutely perfect detail, go with the OMZ.
