OK I have a choice between three different color options.

first one is the old school black with white lettering

second one is black with gold lettering,

third is clear anodized with black lettering. (its silver for petes sake)

I love the hr-2 style black/white, but after seeing the gold lettering I am starting to like the black/gold combo. the silver sr-71 looks like the prototype but very slick with the black lettering.

if I am going to buy a sr-71 for my Jacuzzi this summer I need to choose the rite one...ohh the pain...thans Ray for making my life just a bit harder...

How did you get to choose the color of the SR71? More specifically, how would I get to choose, hehe

Nice! I think you should go with the black/w gold lettering. I would ask Ray if he has tested out the durability of his new lettering process in a jacuzzi environment.

You may want to consider purchasing an Otterbox just in case!!!

Nice sig BTW.

You are all missing the obvious answer. Buy one amp, but all 3
chassis. Its easy to take apart and move the electronics over to
another chassis. Wait, even more, take off the front panel and
mix and match. 9 different combos...

Guys you are missing the point, he is asking for a perfect match for his jacuzzi, not for the best looking amp, so IMO the most important question is: what color is your jacuzzi?....If you want us to give you an opinion, you need to post a pic of the jacuzzi first

Of that picture, I would prefer the white/silver first, with the original as a semi-distant second. I have never been very fond of gold lettering as it tends to look cheesy. Given that you said the white/silver looks like the prototype, however, it appears the picture does not represent reality well -- I cannot imagine enjoying the prototype's coloring, with or without lettering.
