*own both and like both equally well
*own both but like AMD better
*own both but like Intel better
*owns an AMD and prefers AMD
*owns an Intel and prefers Intel

In relation to price vs. performance ratio, AMD takes the cake. The only area that I'd actively consider intel is in the mobile/laptop market with their Dothan core stuff.

AMD for their price and performance. Intel cpu's have always given me problems for some reason.

I chose AMD for my last puter based on the performance/price factor. Not a zealot on procs though.

As far as low power consumption chips are concerned, I'm really looking forward to what the manufacturers (especially Apple) will do with the Intel Yonah chip.

I have both and like AMD much better. I dont see myself going Intel for a LONG time. Got 3700 Sandy right now, used to have 3200 Winchester.

Gotta say that I like AMD for their price/performance ratio. Intel is lickety quick but so expensive.

I got into AMD about 5 years ago when I first entered the whole computer scene and never switched to Intel. Every computer I own and have built use AMD, and I don't see it changing

I don't dislike Pentiums, but I've had much better luck with AMD

I prefer AMD both in my Desktops (Currently running an Athlon XP 2500+ at 3200+ speeds) and in my Servers (Opterons kill Xeons in Memory Bandwidth, which is what my servers need the most).

i had a 1.3 ghz celeron for a few years. just recently built a new system with a 3200 venice.

I'm still using an AMD XP 1700. Need I say more. I still don't feel the need to upgrade.
