Hello all!

I have in my mind at the end to design power amps and headphone amps, or maybe electrostatic amps as well.

I am very aware there are designs publicly available like the KG schematic but I cannot understand it at all.

Would someone here be able to recommend me some books to read to get knowledge to at least understand electrical knowledge to the point of being able to build amps without killing myself?

Basic Electricity from Dover Books (might be a little outdated) and The Art of Electronics are probably decent starting points. Of course websites too- check out All About Circuits education section.

Lots of good youtube channels for entertainment or learning - there are probably better ones for introductory topics, but off the top of my head: EEVBlog (also has a good forum) and Electroboom (more for entertainment but a little learning too). IIRC, EEVBLog has some good videos on soldering and such, and intro AC and DC electronics.

Not sure if you're still checking this but...

1.the Navy NEETS modules. (free in multiple places on internet as pdf's)
2. The Art of Electronics comes highly recommended

The Art of Electronics was a the standard text when I was an electronics student many, many years ago. Excellent book.
