Educated.jpg

An absolutely fascinating story of a woman who grew-up isolated, uneducated in any traditional sense, that endured the physical abuse of a brother, who has a deep respect and love for her mountain, her family, and her community, but who was driven to gain something more from life, and discovered it through education at BYU, Cambridge, and Harvard. An emotional rollercoaster of a story. Most definitely worth reading, highly recommended...

I recently finished reading a book called "Project Brain". This book can be safely considered a textbook. It allows you to get familiar with the writing and management of research projects and also prepare well for the examination of the International Project Management Association.
And now I'm reading Dan Brown's book Code Da Vinci.
I usually prefer books that are enlightening and educational.

Hornet Flight.jpg
Written in 2002 in very nice "British" English.
Set in Denmark so a nice change from the Russian/German in The Century Trilogy.

Does it count if it’s an audiobook? :)

Even though I enjoy food fiction, I’ve lately “read” a lot more non-fiction:

The Soul Of America_Meacham.jpg

As far as I'm concerned, essential reading for all Americans. Especially, if you find yourself distressed with America's current, seemingly unusual, social and political path. Superbly written. "The only thing new in the world is the history you do not know" (Harry S. Truman).

Anyone out there have any interest in the Finnish/Soviet wars? A topic that fascinates me of late and so few english language texts exist I thought this might be a spot to do a shout out scrape.
