Excellent choice - Oscar at his best!

I just finished Michael Dobbs 'One Minute to Midnight', his riveting thriller-style account of the Cuban missile crisis when the world was seconds away from nuclear destruction - talk about brown trouser time in the White House!

Decided to go in a total opposite direction - reading Jean Genet's 'Funeral Rites'.

I'm reading The Power Of One by Bryce Courtenay. Only a few chapters in, but great so far. And it's the first book I've read in a looong time

"Precious Remedies Against Satan's Devices", by Thomas Brooks (1608-1680).

The Man in the High Castle by Philip K. Dick. Scif-Fi at it's best.
More Information Than You Require - John Hodgman. Not as good as his first book, but still funny.

Don't want to say, i have read all these cool books and my list and resources for recommendations have gone. Now i am reading some junk spy/CIA novel that takes very little effort and is based on assumptions that are way too conservative for me. Doesn't take much energy and i can do it while listening to music if i want.
PS-i don't really watch TV so it is my entertainment.

Sandman-Preludes & Nocturnes by Neil Gaiman

Also re-reading Watchmen to tide me over until I can watch the movie.
