I wholeheartedly agree.

Based on your list, there're a few writers I know will fit in.

Trudi Canavan
Licia Troisi
Richard Schwartz
Joe Abercrombie

To name a few.
Maybe you'll find some new "distractions" in their staple. :metal:
Read through Trudi Canavan's Black Magician trilogy, almost finished with Millenium's Rule; entertaining reads! She's got a lot of imagination, especially in the latter series. A little bit aimless in the storytelling after the first couple books, and she has a habit of over-explaining things, but it's still fun to read. She is also very focused on romance between characters, reminds me of Patrick Rothfuss a bit (except not nearly as gratuitous).

I'll finish Millenium's rule and look into the other authors, good recommendations

Reading my third published book and probably my last. It took 50 years out of my life and I'm only in my 30s 🤣

It's about the origin of Gravity.

Reading the Oregon Files by Clive Cussler. Quite fun. I finished the NUMA
series: Dirk Pitt and Kurt Austin, they were good, too. Annette is such a fan
of NUMA that I bought her a hat. https://numa.net/

Finally started reading this, @BobG55. Thanks for the idea. Have you read the
complete trilogy "All These Years?" I didn't realize that you have a Bryston
BDA-1 ... how do you like it?
