What are your top 5 LOUD songs...?

There's only two songs recently that meet that standard for me, both by Pig Destroyer.

Gravedancer
In the Meantime (originally by Helmet)

Once, while driving around late at night, I listend to the whole of Pig Destroyer's record Terrorizer at very high volume. After about 20 minutes, it literally felt like I took a painkiller. Mentally, I was zonked and very passive, and physically I had a lack of sensation. I found I just didn't care about anything, which is exactly how I felt when I once took painkillers for recreational purposes (which I strongly recommend against).

This is the only one I can think of right now.

Firebird Suite, 1919 Version
Chicago Symphony Orchestra

But purely for evil reasons.

It's a very quiet song until about 1/3 of the way through.
It's fun to see people jump.

A fun song to have others listen to a nice, powerful headphone/amp combo at a head-fi meet.

Way too many to list, but here's 5 for an example:

Opeth - Closure
Meshuggah - Future Breed Machine
Grip Inc - Skin Trade
Nevermore - We Disintegrate
American Head Charge - Loyalty

And for a non-metal moment, and due to the kick-#ss bass in my car:
Beyonce - Naughty Girl

Since I love metal, most of my music is crankable, which is why I am going deaf.

Yes, another Foetus fan. I'm particular to DI-19026.

The Overture to Pigdom Come, Enter the Exterminator, and The Throne of Agony are great tunes. Nail does flow real well as a complete album.

The Kills - Cat Claw
My Chemical Romance - Hang 'em High*
Jeff Buckley - Alligator Wine
Pink Floyd - Wish You Were Here
Muse - Sunburn

* If you don't scream the "mass convulsions, strike the choir, by the grace of god" part, there's something wrong with you.

OK then. From my garage band period:

AC/DC Back in Black - the whole album. I fried one Luxman integrated and the Audio-Pro speakers twice back then with that album. Nowadays I am more causcious about listening levels

Nobody makes rock-n-roll like that anymore
