While brand loyalty is often frowned upon (under the moniker of fanboyism) it's a good feeling, discovering a company that just makes products that work for you. As it happens. I've not found a brand of headphones like that, but I do have several (N = 3, and counting...) Denon products. However, I'm a sucker for Apple products, Moleskine notebooks, Logitech peripherals/accessories, Vans and Hush Puppies shoes, and Victorinox Swiss Army knives. What brands of any type of product do you find yourself enamored of? (Gah, couldn't avoid ending with a preposition without making the question sound weird...)

Coach for bags and sunglasses

Esprit for sweaters, socks, jackets and jeans

Thinkgeek for Tshirts

Aldos for dress shoes

Converse for every day shoes

Incase for soft electronics cases/backpacks

Griffin for hard electronics cases

Apple for computers/DAPs

Sigg for water bottles

Can't think of any other brands that are my absolute go-to brands.

edit: totally forgot! Gilly Hicks for undies and PJs. They've totally spoiled me, I never buy those anywhere else.

For electronics I don't shop brands, I shop functionality and price-performance ratio.

I am fond of Audio-Technica headphones though.

Clothes are generally purchased on merits of price and whether I think they're cute or not.

A quick glance in my closet reveals a lot of american apparel, l.e.i., fashion bug, nautica, self-esteem, SO, YMI, and various other things. I'm attracted by cut and style and price more than brand name.

I only really follow brands specifically when it comes to food. Off-brands just don't taste right.

I guess I should clarify the question a little:

What brands have you found yourselves gravitating towards?
Have you discovered that you return to a brand precisely because they make products that appeal to you? Brands that consistently fulfill your "cut and style and price" criteria? Brands that consistently fulfill your "functionality and price-performance ratio" requirements?

If the question is what brands you trust from the experience or something like that, I would say... well...

Eizo for the monitor.
LG for household electronic.
J crew for casual wear.
Marrie calender for frozen food.

And, yeah...

Altoid for tin can.

Does Linux count? I use Apple gear, too.

Let's put Electra-Print, Cinemag and Lundahl on the list, and I'm partial to Wusthof kitchen knives.

Clothing is from REI, Martin+Osa and Brooks Brothers. I'll occasionally buy others, but those are my go-to shops.

I'm pragmatic about most everything else.
