Three Pickers.jpeg
First time the three musicians ever performed together, on the PBS series Great
Performances
, released in 2003. Earl on banjo, Doc on flat top, Ricky on mandolin,
flat top and banjo. Various other musicians join, including Kentucky Thunder, Doc's
grandson Richard, and Alison Krauss who shines on fiddle and vocals. Better pickin'
can not be found anywhere!
This one's for you @Baldr ... enjoy RMAF!

Sam Bush - King of My World.jpg
Sammy and his band in a fun studio album, released in 2004, virtuoso mandolin and
fiddle work. A founder of the "New Grass" music genre, Sammy never disappoints!

Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Will the Circle Be Unbroken (30th Anniversary - Disc 1).jpg
Released in 1971, conceived and produced by Bill McEuen, recorded live to two-channel.
A unique collaboration between The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and many famous C&W musicians
including Jimmy Rogers, Earl Scruggs, Mother Maybelle Carter, Merle Travis, Roy Acuff and
Vassar Clements. All songs were first or second takes; an open microphone was present
to capture the banter amongst the band. This album basically brought the Nashville Sound
back down to Earth and reinvigorated real country music. Junior Husky plays bass on all tracks.

One of my favorite albums ... a historical treasure. HD800 ---> :)
