Can anyone explain how the CD and downloads are different from each other? Is it just the mastering?
 

Vinyl, CD and digital downloads all have different mixes of the same songs.  I have the vinyl which comes with a digital download.  I have not heard the CD version.
For example side B of the vinyl drop a needle on "Just One Drink" and you can get either an acoustic intro or electric intro   The MP3 digital has the electric intro for "Just One Drink"
