'Beware' - Robert Wyatt / Cuckooland
I've been listening to RockBottom and Ruth is Stranger than Richard like a fiend over the past couple years and finally just got Cuckooland from a fellow LaLa.com 'er. What a fantastic album. It reminds me of nothing else... but of the subtle references that do bubble up, this is so much cooler than any of them. Several songs made me pull out some old Soft Machine LP's - some brilliant songs but Wyatt's solo albums are much more solid across the board I think.

Dream Theater. The album, Awake. Thus far unimpressed with the band in general. We'll see if this Iron Maiden wannabe can pull it together before the day is done...
