Not released through regular channels for some reason. Amazon.com quotes many days before they can ship. But, if you go to CD Baby you can hear a preview and if you like it, get it in a few days. No I don't work for CD Baby.

I saw them in concert in Des Moines a few years ago and really enjoyed the music. Mint Jam is fabulous Jazz!

Jimi Hendrix, "Machine Gun," Live at the Fillmore East.

Poor little Epos are about to burst into flames.

I LOVE "Machine Gun"!

Right now I'm playing -Oblivion- with the sound down and Mozart's 24th PC with r. Casadesus instead!

It's like a game of tag, except you just took the lead. As you know, I've recently fallen heavy for Bunny Gets Paid. And now have both Jimmywine Majestic and the one you mention above, There's a Star Above the Manger Tonight, on order. So pretty soon I'll be back in the lead! I'm starting to think that one can never have too much from these guys. BTW, that's one of the songs you can download from their site. Just a 128K mp3, but a good taste.

Still on a Yo La Tengo kick here. "Autumn Sweater" making it's way around again. Love that organ and drums. And like they so often do, the perfect ending. What a knockout. I remember when I first got the LP, I nearly wore out this whole opening block of songs on the first two sides. Lucky I have a CD now too, or the grooves would probably be worn through. Great disc.

Thought I'd celebrate Easter with some non-fitting music

Currently listening to Elend - Du Trefonds Des Tenebres.

(Lyrics)
Horror, Lucifer solutus,
Anguis a catenis suis liberatus.
A sparkling shade of hate embraced the whole horizon.
A shadow of horror is risen
The Sun is bent,
Consumed with deepest sins.
Terror rains from the skies.
De caelo pluit terrore,
Igne et aestu, igne ardenti,
In fornacem ignis aeterni.
Abyssus umbras suas ingentes
Iacet in latera adamanteia.
Nos devorat lux repercussa.
Above your visions, a circumradiant Sun,
And in your Eyes, vibrant with echoes,
A deafening and neverending commotion.
The path of the Angel is a firmament of tears.
Fawn blazes of fury from the First Eye of God.
Mikhael. Raphael. Gabriel. Uriel. Raguel. Sarakiel.
Moloch. Chamos. Baalim. Ashtaroth. Astarte.
Belial. Beelzebub. Apollyon.
In Inferno reigned the enchanters of pain.
We write the scriptures of moans.
We spread the spawn of Despair.

Shaitan Lucifer
Lucifer, qui mane oriebaris.
Kill me for Thy Name's Sake.

Omega and alpha, the last and the first,
He that liveth through death and life inverted.
Hell was not so dark a labyrinth to hide this face,
Admire it scarred by lightnings.
For Thee I beheld no Mercy Seat of gold...
But the screams of Heaven crucified.
In profundis tenebrarum
Aurei cruentique solis occasus.
Dominus fletum e Styge hausit,
Solus beryllus continet lucentes illas lacrimas.
Dominus fletum e Styge hausit,
Tamen in eius profundis abyssus abyssum invocat.
The Light echoes the Light.
The dead envy the dead.
Our burned feathers cloud
The infinite reflexion of the decentred moons.
In the dead of night,
The heart of the night
Knows a more shining star.

Sub atro sole
Tenebris lucet abyssus temporis.
Domini nomen foedatum,
Peritum regnum caelorum.

I unname Thee, Ialdabaoth.

Under a black sunset
Every creature foundered
In the petrifying abyss of Time.
Paradise regained!
Paradise regained!
Paradise regained!
We'll reap the fruits of glory...

Miserere

(No, I'm not a satanist. But this music is fsking amazing if you're into classical)
