Night snack since I can't sleep:
Homemade egg sangwich
Bread: Nature's Own 100% Wheat
Filling: Boiled eggs, salt, pepper, cayenne, mayo, yellow mustard

Note: no plate is needed, so yay. Also, I ran out of filling, so it isn't as plump as I would like it.

Fun fact: consumed in less time than it took to make this post.

Excellent meat. Hot off the grill, tender and juicy. Great after a few drinks at the bar.

Most people don’t know this but grilled bbq like meat is a part of Chinese food culture. The trick is finding a good version. I’ve had them before previously and they can be outstanding.

Crispy fried pig ears

Pig ears (boiled version) was actually an old southern food item. However in some trendy bars in the south, a chef will reinvent old items that may have gone out of style and create a new version.

This was very good. Loved the texture. Goes well with a crisp light white wine.

Classic boiled southern peanuts in Georgia

This is an old southern classic in the state of Georgia. Boiled peanuts and it’s shockingly delicious. It’s kind of an outdated old hillbilly food but still found in some trendy bars like this one with revamped recipes. The texture is kind of like a creamy potato. I’m surprised that it never became popular in the northern states because it really is delicious.

Classic southern buttered dinner rolls made from scratch in the bar restaurant

Baked in a cast iron skillet this is fine southern country food in Georgia.

Light and fluffy, warm, buttery and delicious. Hot out of the oven. This will bring you back to the old days of the South. Y’all come on down!

OK, Rumaki (bacon wrapped water chestnuts) tomorrow for 14. But tonight, my version: fresh curry leaves cooked in peanut oil. Dispose of leaves when browned, add chicken bone broth and a touch of Go-chu-jang sauce.
Grill Rumaki diluted with chicken bone broth, after fresh curry leaves cooked in peanut oil for the flavor. Grill med for :15 min, coat, :10 more min. Don't like it dry. A little scallion...
