I'm guessing you're thinking of these:

They are the SR-404 by Stax. Great headphones, you should check them out if you ever get the chance.

The other one people are mentioning is the K1000 by AKG. Here is a picture of those:

I guess it's just a coincidence but I own both of these phones. Weird.
