I was curious as to what applications, other than those bundles, Head-Fiers were running on their machines, particularly those who use OS X. You never know when you wil find a gem of an app through another person's list.

1Password - Fantastic password management
Adium - Chat across a multitude of platforms
Anxiety - A simple to-do list app
Caffeine - Prevents screen from going dark while reading articles
CoverSutra - Quick, elegant, access to iTunes controls such as ratings
Libra - Library management for iTunes
Max - Audio file conversion and CD ripping
NetNewsWire - RSS news reader
Skitch - Screen capture utility (images)
VLC - Video playback
World of Goo - Time waster

This is going to be my first head-fi post .
I am also running OSX 10.5.6 and in search of good apps.

Let me share my list of apps for my music

VLC
QT PRO
iTunes
-SRS iWOW plug-in

I recommend the SRS iWOW plug-in for itunes. I wouldn't think it is appealing to audiophiles since the SRS iWOW makes the music sound quite artificial in my perspective. However, if you are on the go with your Mac w/ just a headphone, and enjoy bass, its a fun plug-in.

Been into plex, toast, vlc, cyberduck, candybar, various google apps, most adobe apps, Xpad - looooove xpad!

I'm sure there's many others, but they spring to mind ATM

Too many useful applications to list, but the one that really separates OS X from other operating systems in daily stuff for me is OmniWeb. I really wish The Omni Group would port that browser to Windows. Leopard's built-in VNC viewer is by far the best out there too. By far...

Vuze - Torrenting in classic interface. I used to use Vuze, then went to Transmission, but it continually crashed and was unstable. Then it started inducing system freezes, and looking through support tickets, the developers refuse to acknowledge problem, saying that Apple must be doing something wrong. They obviously don't understand that applications are supposed to be built for operating systems and computers, not the other way around. Therefore, I went back to Vuze after trying numerous versions of Transmission (i think .8, 1.11, and 1.40)

I actually looked at it the other day but was put off by the fact that they only offer the binary version. Although I could compile it, I'm too lazy to hunt down all the necessary libraries to do so. Maybe I'll give it a try.
