I use an iPod for my main source but would also like to use my CD/DVD player as well for a little better quality while at home. What would I be better off using for output. The RAC out in the back or the headphone out in the front? I assume either output would be OK but I was not sure. My player is your run of the mill progessive scan Toshiba players for $200.

I would be running directly into a Xin Supermacro amp so I would either need an RCA-to-mini cable or 1/4"-to-min cable which would be negligible in price. Thanks alot.

the rca in the back. The headphones out in the front is probably just driven by a bad, cheap opamp or even worse an integrated headphones driver chip. No need to go through this additional stage, which could only harm the sound.
