Olympus is pulling out of mp3 player market, the rest of the stock must go.

The sound quality of m:robes isn't up with the best according to several reviews, and personally I think it's style over substance (battery life, features, UI, sound quality, etc).

YMMV of course.

That would be nice to have a mp3 player and camera in one since I don't have a cellphone. However I got an m:robe mr100 for my girlfriend and the SQ wasn't very good at all even for an MP3 player. I wonder if its the same sound prossesor as the 500?

I got sucked in at $200, still resisting Ipod herd

(couldn't find a black 4GB nano

). I like it so far. Its definately the player of the fashonistas big on style. It has one resessed hard button. Everything else is done via the smudge.. I mean touch screen controls. As far sound quality goes I think its magic. Maybe I'm crazy but it has the best sound stage of any player I have used, karma, Iriver PCDP or MD. I'm using ER6i with it. Usability wise I was able to get used to the quirky controls after about a day of messing around. The software is ok comming from sonicstage.

Pros:
Unique design
Cheap 20GBs
Big Screen
Plays WMA(Everything I have is in WMA, I buy my music)
Great sound YMMV
Sturdy, steel frame

Con:
Not an Ipod never will be
Smudge and more smudges
Support? its discontinued
Batt life not 30 hours like my MD

Huge screen but don't do video
thicker than most players
