Did you ever get them? and what do you think of the W60s?
I did and actually sold them very quick,
to my memory, I did not remember any special to W60 , maybe a bit more resolution and soundstage, but nothing very special or memorable performance compare to my W4r
since I love my W4r so much, I sold the W60 already

Dang, that's an unfortunate nothing-burger.
I got my Westone W80s in a couple weeks ago now and I adore them. Resolution, realism, "sonic pressure." Absolutely phenomenal. No one really talks about the W80s much though, so I haven't found a lot of good discussion on it.

According to a lot of review online and some of my audiphilemate, w80 is one of the most non-westone tuned earphone in terms of resolution.
Price is one of the main reason of few people discussing it as only a few are willing to pay the money to upgrade their iem , given that iem under 300 to 400 is more then enough for daily usage.

Full MSRP for W80 (or ANY westone iem for that matter) is absolutely ridiculous nowadays since modern iems for the fraction of the price can give you higher resolution.
That being said, for me W60 was an obvious upgrade over W4, and W80 was another, though a smaller, step towards higher end.

I know that audio quality can surprise, but when talking sheer fidelity, I'd be utterly dumbfounded if there were IEMs at a "fraction of the price" of $650 that could equal, let alone best, the W80s.
I have to wonder if you guys were getting a good seal. To me, the sound I get from these is about right for this price, based on how much I've spent for other earbuds and the sound I got from them. What are some examples of superior and cheaper (cheaper by at least $100) IEMs?

Have to admit, this thread is dated. But I've discovered Westones only recently (I know, it was a 'long and winding road..'). And this these are my 4th Westone. The W60. I love the warm signature of this IEM. Very relaxed and accurate high frequencies where it counts. I find it more comfortable than my MACH80 believe it or not. A true keeper.

As much as I love my Westone W80s, I am not going to be too upset when they finally kick the bucket, because as good as they are, the truth is that they are EQed for HEAVY mid-bass, which is a huge no-no for me personally.
I didn't really know it when I first bought them, and because I like so much about these buds, I re-purchased when my previous set was destroyed. In the future, I'm going to try to find the most neutral IEMs I can.

I refuse to buy chi-fi, I don't care how wonderful they are! D:<

Another thread back from the dead, sorry folks. Recently discovered the Etymotic deep-insertion IEMs after a long hiatus since 2015. Been on that binge buying of Etymotic ER4 series both used and new and then now arrived at Westone. So far, I have acquired 4 Westones total; MACH80, PRO X50, AM PRO X30, B50, and now the W60. Three of which has my undivided attention are the PRO X50, B50, and the W60. Out of which, my ears just love the soothing sound coming from these W60's. Bass and sub-bass rumble is just out of this world. Forward mids and highs are so captivating as well. Listening to one of my favorite album, Alicia Key's Element of Freedom gives me constant goosebumps. Source I am using is my Cowon Plenue D2 with custom-tweaked Mach3Bass. Super duper IEM, a real keeper.
