Westone ES60 unboxing and first impressions

The biggest problem with ES60 - it only being offered as Custom IEM and people can't preview the sound in "universal" fit and wrongfully assume that ES60 is a custom version of W60 which is NOT!!!  Regarding Westone, W40/W50/W60/UmPro50 are all warm tuned IEMs, it's their house sound.  Some like it, others don't.  Just a matter of a personal preference

Also, their Epic cable keeps the sound warm, you NEED to switch to silver cable to bring up the details and sparkle.  ES60 which I have been using with Linum Super BaX prototype cable since last year is a force to be reckoned with

Regarding you decision, wait about a month or so, I will probably have a comparison of ALL of them (minus UERR, plus U12 and U6).

Do you have a picture of the Super BaX with the ES60? Is there any gap between the MMCX connector? I'm thinking about getting one. Thx

SuperBax uses a standard universal mmcx connector, thus you will have a little gap.  Only westone specific mmcx with a shorter profile will not have it.

Thanks. I guess it's not the end of the world.

The last Westone I heard was ES5. Is there anyone how has both ES5 and ES60 to compare? I really liked the warmth of ES5.

Never heard ES5, but I do have ES60 and it's fantastic, natural/organic and still with lots of clarity and details.  Btw, W80 also worth looking into, if you like your "warmth"  I position W80 in sound somewhere between W60 and ES60.

Anyone still listening to their ES60? I got them in 2014 and never bothered with another set. Using with Dita Oslo cable, so I can swap connectors with ease.

Still love ES60, but after switching to ES80 I prefer those.
I didn't get the chance to get the es80 and now the music depth is owned by someone else. I'd still like to get a pair of es80 though.
