...and bought some Sony MDR-V6s. Laugh at me all you want, but this is my first pair of above-$30 headphones. I've been going back and forth between these and the K81DJs for a week or so, but decided on these for an important reason. My roommate's also looking at buying headphones, and he listens to a fair amount of classical, and he also wants them for his keyboard. I figure if I don't like them, I'll sell them to him and get the K81s. I guess another reason was my concern about the (possibly) tight fit and wicked bass of the DJs. With a trial for Amazon Prime, I'll have 'em here by tomorrow, for $70 shipped. Feel free to tell me I made an idiotic decision

Hey......nice phones. I bought a set 20 years ago, still got'm, still sound good. Just replaced the pads with some fuzzy ones, now they're even nicer.

Eh, which ones would those be? These are surprisingly substantially less comfortable than my Panasonics. Somebody said something about Beyer pads?
