Briefly put: The left channel doesn't produce any sound unless I tilt the headphone/my head to the left.

I've narrowed down the issue to the left cable head as plugging in the right cable head to any of the two cans gives me no problem.
When I *do* tilt my head (a bit), sound comes out and the audio quality is still perfect. No amount of replugging seems to fix it though.
What in some loose cable's name is causing this? And can I DIY fix it or am I going to have to get a replacement?

I finally saved enough money for a nice amp and now this

You could have it serviced if under warranty. Or, open up the left side while playing music. Visually check the stress relief and connections. Carefully move the cable around that goes to the connections in an attempt to isolate the problem with the connection. Try to get cable to stay in a fixed position that keeps it working. You may be able to do this manually, or with the use of silicone or something similar to hold the cable in place.
