What is the best program for image editing for websites? I am using Dreamweaver for websites right now.

Thanks,

Do you mean like photo editing (Photoshop)? Or do you wanna create buttons and stuff? If so you could check out Fireworks, which is designed to complement Dreamweaver.

yeah, fireworks is pretty sweet because you don't even have to exit out of dreamweaver to edit stuff.

Just so you know, there are two types of graphics editing programs out there. The first is sprite-based editing, such as Adobe Photoshop. This is good if you are working with things such as photographs or highly detailed images. The other type of graphic editing application is vector-based, such as Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Fireworks. By using vectors, you are able to scale images without any loss in quality. Vector-based programs are good for creating things like buttons and stuff that you would need on a website.

Fireworks would be a good bet for you, since you are using Dreamweaver.

If you also need to do some sprite editing, Photoshop is just about the best (and most widely used) out there.
