Yes, we’ve discussed this in great detail. There is definitely a ground loop with two of my DACs.

Ah okay.
At first it read that it was coming from the amplifier.
That's why I was surprised if it was.
But if it does come from the dac, then that's probably what it is.
The most you could do is try to ground the dac, then it should be fixed.

It comes from the combination of amp and DAC. There is a potential difference between the grounds, and only on the left channel. When I have time, I need to open the amp up and check for dry joints…
The DAC which doesn’t cause problems is ungrounded!
I had a good look inside. No dry joints, no broken wires. Everything looks fine. No problem when it’s hooked up to the Chameleon (no „hard“ earth), but hum on the left channel when connected to the Tri-Vista or the DX7 Pro….
With the GND Defender in place, the hum disappears.

I suspect that Piotr has done a very good and solid job.
I would not even doubt to look for it.
I think this is due to the Dac implementation, especially with the topping.
I don't know the other Dac.
On the other hand, if it disappeared with the Ify, I would chalk it up as a complete success.
Unless there are still problems.
Then I would try another Dac.
You can always send it back, but you can rule it out and tick it off.

Rare 1992 clear top 6S41S (titanium getter):
The bass extension with these is almost frightening (via AT-R70x).
…and they look like something out of Frankenstein‘s lab!

Still pretty happy with the Tsar are you? I spoke to Piotr about an HPA Master Pro as it seemed like an ideal match with my very efficient collection. The bass extension with these is almost frightening (via AT-R70x).

He recommended the Tsar, but I explained that my HE6se V2's and T60 Argons are ably handled by my iFi amp and that just need an amp for headphones in 30's ohm range. He said the Pro would be "OK" for that situation.
It sounds like you can barely move the volume dial on yours?
On the HE-500 (the original ones), I can shift up into third gear

Do you have thread for your custom amp?Hello,
have you spoken to Piotr about this?
I also have an amplifier from him and I have zero problems in that respect.
Just switch it on, put the headphones in and it's done.
It is too bad there isn't just a general thread for White Bird Amplification. It would be very helpful for Piotr to get more business. And great for those of us looking into them.

Hello,
No, unfortunately not yet, even though I intend to do so. Time is limited for me at the moment.
At the moment, the Euforia amplifier has priority over the Vcaps because it takes a long time to get 400 hours on it.
Even if that only happens on the side.
As I said, I had no problems with it, nor did I have any concerns.
Everything went as discussed and very satisfactorily.
If something was unclear, he described it to me in two or three sentences.
In the end, it's still your decision.
Even if recommendations come from him, it is also important to be able to offer the maximum.
