I was wondering if it would be possible to create a custom pair ofiems that are waterproof to swim with. Yes I know that's insane. The Knowles RAF and RAB drivers are listed as waterproof but what other drivers could I use? Would I need to put wax over the connectors? would the filters be safe?

If you're talking about dampers filters, then no, they're not waterproof. They'll absorb the liquid and render them useless until dried out. Maybe use some sort of mesh like this one (http://seiren-electronics.com/english/moisture_permeable_waterproof_tape/)?

With that mesh could I use regular filters and drivers? Would it be a good idea to make it a filled Ciem I feel like hollow there could be chance of pooling with water

Sorry for the late reply, you should be able to use regular filters and drivers.

It depends on what method you're using to make the shell but filling the entire shell with something like silicon would work as well if you want to be safe.
