Technically the peak in that region is just exacerbated by the coupler. Due to IEMs being in your ear they will have a resonance of some kind which will boost some of the upper regions of the frequency response. Just varies more than being specific to ~8khz. Here's an interesting response about this very phenomenon from orratory1990:Crinacle's graph actually says that, so that means we can ignore everything between 7k-10k on his site?
