If it doesn’t kill the phone battery, the app doesn’t suck and it sounds decent, I could see it as a great match to a nice pair of IEMs.

At 800mw likely has to kill the phone battery unless it has a battery itself

Most headphones won’t need anywhere near that much power, so it kind of comes down to how efficient the amplifier circuit is, and how much of a trade off in sound quality results.
