Good luck with the 580s. I also have a pair but after about a week or two. Now sit down for this and it is just a sugestion. I ordered the EQUINOX cable at 185.00. Nuts you say. well yes but if you really like the sound of the 580s what if they would sound a lot better with this or the cardas cable? I know its crazy to pay 185.00 or even 150.00 for the cardas. When the can already cost 200.00. But some of the members are crazy and so will you if you want the best for your cans. There is a review on these cables by JUDE and it tells you what the cables can do for your 580s. So enjoy your new 580s and you can stop there for the 580s just the way they are are great cans. Good luck and great sound with the 580s. (please dont hate me for telling you about the cables)

Ahh, the often-stated remark to newbies...don't worry, you'll get used to it...I mean the money spending part

i didnt know radio sounded so much like crap... Consider what you have stated. Every nite at 8/30 I lesten to my radio with my 580s and total airhead. Now my radio is the size of a pack of cigerattes 100s and puts out 28 m/w per channel. I really dont even have to use the total airhead to get great sound out of it but I am extream in all that I do. My radio is one of my favorite sources besides my mini disc. If you get a chance try your 580s on a radio and if you have a portable amp use that on it to and you might be surprised at how good it sounds with the 580s and also it is nice to hear the new music that is on the radio instead of my over and over mini disc music. Your 580s are very verseatile and can be used on a lot of different sources. Good luck with your new cans and enjoy the sound.
