I am not having luck finding good VU meters for foobar2000. Sometimes miscellaneous sites offer various plugins but I don't want to mess up my system with a virus and I don't know which sites to trust.

Any recommendations? Thanks.

Try this out, it´s a modified version of the famous DarkOne skin, it mimics the McIntosh VU meters and I think it looks awesome:
