Hi there, after thinking long and hard, I have decided to get a new soundcard to accompany my DT150 250 ohm.

However, the headphones will go directly into the back of the soundcard, so I have no means of volume control.

If I purchased a headphone amp instead of a soundcard, I would have the volume knob to control the volume for the headphones. But of course I'm guessing the quality will be much greater with a more expensive soundcard (Titanium HD).

What can I do? If I buy a soundcard, I will be stuck with Windows volume control, and that's kind of awkward to use. It seems the only resolution to this is to buy a headphone amp as well as a sound card (expensive!).

Help? Ideas? Suggestions? Are there any other solutions to this? :frowning2:

Nothing wrong with windows volume control - there's an autohotkey script floating around that lets you use the mouse wheel to control volume while holding down a modifier key (such as a side mouse button)
