Hello everyone,

Finally, if I should keep only one headphone and only one amp it would currently be the headphones Kennerton Thror and the Viva 2A3 amp.

The Thror headphones because it is the most performing (technically speaking) and universal (open to all musical genres); the Viva 2A3 amp because it magnifies the medium and treble of the Thror giving it a harmonic richness extremely pleasant to listen to: its rich, detailed, subtle and balanced.

The XI Audio Formula S amplifier (SS amp), more neutral, but less rich in harmonic than the Viva 2A3 amp is better suited to the Odin mk2 or mk1 which are already rich in harmonics.

I keep my Odin mk2 in Karelian birch, for fun, and by collection spirit (nb: the Karelian birch wood is so beautiful to look at).

Association of the Odin mk2 with the Viva 2A3, when first time listening, giving more fun because more colorful and rich in colors than the Thror ; association more unbridled too.
The Thror in comparison, in first time listening, less fun, is much more rigorous and serious, and even more universal.

If keeping a topology not very far away from the principles of the Egoista, the VIVA Solista is even a game changer (the power supply is hybrid) giving much more dynamic and openness feeling.

For me, the Solista pairs remarkably with not too sensitive headphones.

Here is a sound demo of Viva 845 driving hd800s and susvara where sus clearly hasn't been driven to the fullest while hd800s sounds much opener driven effortless with ease by Viva, not a sweat!

It is interesting I have got similar feedback from owners of Viva 845 and Trafomatic Primavera that hd800s is driven to its maximum potentials by these amps while susvara feels a bit of less open and more congested BY CONTRAST.

For Riviera, the speaker out will definitely give Susvara speaker like sound with better macrodetails, while I the headphone output has better microdetails with slightly more nuances and details. Also, according to the designer of Riviera, the headphone amplifier of Riviera is better than speaker part, but speaker out definitely sounds more effortlessly with way better stage. However, tonally I actually prefer hd800s with Riviera slightly more than susvara, as many owners of Viva 845 and Primavera in Aisa.

Have you driven this with Susvara? If 2A3 has two watts per channel, it should be enough in terms of power, especially the tube amp has more current.

I haven't tried it with Susvara. I think the 2A3 is closer to 3-4 watts?

The Studio T is much better realized with HD800.

Many owners and dealers told me it is not powerful enough to drive sus

I have viva 2a3 and it is not good with susvara and 1266. so I am thinking to sell it and buy 845 version. but 2a3 magic with many other headphones such as VO, Elite, he1000se ect. so I am afraid I can lost this magic..

Rockna makes T Plus redundant in my humble opinion, like almost in every single aspects, as a previous owner.

I think the edition does pretty much the work. I am aware the difference technically, but dont know the sonic difference as I haven't listened to signature version.

Can you elaborate a bit more on Egoista 845 vs Egoista 2a3 with Susvara? I'd love to hear more from someone who has used both. The 845 certainly drives the Susvara and 1266 well IMO and it's my choice for those 2 HPs. I have not heard the 2a3 though. I would love to have a 2a3 for my less demanding HPs like @EDWARIS. 2a3 is presumably sweeter sounding than 845. Tube rolling on 845 worked well for me. I'm currently using ACME 845 and Melz 1578.

I also used acme 845 for my Solista III and acme 2A3 for Egoista)
