There are three pictures included below.
What do those three pictures have in common?
What is the common theme here?

(I chose a small format of the last picture with the text at the bottom not quite visible.)

Do not cross this double red line if you failed the test ....
but cool down and relax to this music: Let me in!

If you passed the above test you might be interested in discussions about Intelligence.
What is Intelligence?
See wikipedia for some definitons: Intelligence

Did you take any Intellgence Tests in the past?.

Are Intelligence Tests reliable? Are they meaningful?
Should we pay any attention to the results of those tests?

Have Fun!

my iq ranges from 137-156, out of about 5 tests. those are the only real "intelligence tests" that i've taken... i have less visual intelligence than verbal/problem-solving intelligence.

intelligence is a measure of ability to learn. what you've done is what really matters!

I really doubt you've taken five certified IQ tests -- each one burns a ~$1000 hole in your pocket. Online tests are horribly inaccurate if that's what you're referring to. You can only receive an IQ test from a licensed psychologist.

excuse me, four. one was given by my school for placement in a class a level above the normal accelerated program, which was free, and i don't know its name. other than that i've taken the Stanford-Binet, Kaufman, and Weschler (WISC)... one of which my family actually paid for (Kaufman), and wasn't for getting into a school program or society or something. i probably should have specified... since lots of people do enjoy using internet results as fact.

i might have a scan of the results for one or two of 'em, if you really care that much... i know i don't, and i'm too lazy to dig anything up. who cares about IQ anyways?

137 to 156 is an astronomical range -- that spans more than an entire standard deviation. You'd probably have to take thousands of legitimate IQ tests before you were likely to happen upon a range like that (I'm not about to actually crunch the numbers

).

The Stanford-Binet 5 is widely considered the benchmark for IQ testing today -- what did you score on that one?

Are you simply asking why the 3 pics have a group of guys walking across what we Brits call a zebra crossing?

The Beatles named their album after the studios in Abbey Road, London and the crossing on the cover is in Abbey Road.

The rest are an homage to this.

The first and last are actually taken in Abbey Road, the middle one is patently a photoshop creation - note the cars in the copy and the new style road markings on the Red Hot Chilli Peppers cover.

So what's your answer then?

This is very interesting what you're saying. This is exactly what I wanted to discuss here.

What is Intelligence?
Did you take any Intelligence (e.g. IQ. tests) in the past?
Do you think that Intelligence tests given by professional psychologists are reliable?
What can we infer from the results of those tests?

(I forgot to put those important questions in the original post.
Therefore I am modifying the original post to add those questions:

Are Intelligence Tests reliable? Are they meaningful?
Should we pay any attention to the results of those tests?

Regarding the three pictures the debate rages on:

What is the common theme of those pics?

It is meant to be fun, but there are some issues involed here, namely:

Intelligence vs. Education

I shall address this issue in my next post using as an example the above three pictures.

that's the 137, and the one i trust... i didn't know that was a really amazing range, just the inaccuracy of the tests showing! IIRC on the school-administered one i scored a 141, and on the WISC i scored a 139. i guess that speaks a lot about the Kaufman...

edit: also, the Stanford-Binet 5 was nice and short- 4-5 minutes per test, and 5 tests

Alright, so you're almost definitely above 130, putting you in the top 2%. Grats.

EDIT: Never heard of "the Kaufman". I know he was an intelligence researcher but I guess his tests weren't too hot.
