For the guys who got the new hpa v222 - I got the package tracking update from ups and it seems to be coming from China - I thought it was produced in Germany, or like all other stuff today it is just engineered there and mass produced in China?

Won’t be surprised if it is produced in China

I wonder if anyone has compared any Violectric to an RME ADI-2 because that's the other one I was cross-shopping with - especially that the 2/4 Pro is around the corner. The 5-band parametric EQ seems enticing.
The ADI's amp section has no chance against even the older Violectrics, the DAC is on par or slightly worse then a Modius.
You are buying that thing for its features and to get the "all in one" package.

Gotcha, was just wondering because my setup is peculiar right now. My "DAC" is actually a MOTU UltraLite MK5 interface so I can monitor my voice when speaking, and has a S/PDIF/ADAT out that I can utilize.

I can't read English. Would you kindly send the picture with German legends?
Due to word length, the font would be microscopic…😵‍💫.

What if I want to step up in the Violectric range if I happen to like the 222? 340/380? Or just go to the 500 series?

The 340/80 are already a step up from the V226/222, the 550/90 trump that once more in technicalities, power and versatility (input AND output pregain for its preamp functionality, XLR-in and -out), the option for a really good integrated DAC and an UBER-potentiometer.
A fully stacked V590 Pro is an endgame solution with Swiss Knife versatility.

I'm thinking of the 380 since I can use the digital input (if I want to sync clocks with the interface), plus the 4.4 balanced output. I don't think the 500 series has 4.4 out, correct?

They all have 4.4 out, except for the V202.
