The V340/V380 models only have RCA inputs , you have to step up to the V550/590 models to get XLR inputs.

I think the “balanced” for DHA 380 is for the DAC section. Digital in > balanced out

They did the same with the rs-08. RCA in, balanced circuit and balanced out.

I am in love with my DHA 380 and can confirm it is a wonderful amp, with the plus of an onboard DAC.
