Hi All,
I have my all time desirables now, the Aiwa HP-X5 and the HP-X10 from decades ago, produced in the
mid eighties and still going strong, I love their open and full sound.
They are both fantastic but I cannot figure out how their earpads worked/what materials they used.
I guess they used some kind of a velvety material (judging by the leftovers still attached to the drivers), but I am not sure, also it's a bit of a mystery if they used donuts or covered all of the driver. I think donuts but I am still not sure.
Please help! Also you are welcome for a chat about the golden era of earphones/earbuds, the eighties-early nineties, if you're up to it.
Cheers
