Does anyone know if the sound processing hardware is different on these 2 models? i always thought the fuze was just a shorter version of the view for ppl with no need for widescreen video playback

nope, they share different hardware. The Fuze is supposed to sound much better. The Clip and Fuze share the same hardware though, that's why a lot of people like the clip.
