I just ordered the D2 4gb and was thinking maybe I should be waiting for the 8gb version. Anyone give a guess what the 8gb version would sell for?

I like this new Archos 405, what's the consensus on sound/video quality of Archos products? It's available from amazon on sept 1, i may want to order this as well and decide between the two or the D2 8gb.

New thought.....D2 and 405 out
In......Archos 605. I'm not sure if i want the 30gb hard drive version ($299) or the 4gb flash w/expandable SD slot ($229)? Thoughts? Leaning towards the flash drive version thinking i'll get better battery life.

i preordered the 605 from amazon, my zune is now for sale in the FS forum.

i think the D2 i ordered last week is showing up tomorrow.

As long as sq isn't important to you, you should love the 605, it's an excellent video device from what i've read

Wow lots of new toys eh. D2 and 605. I would be happy with even one of those fine toys.

You should of had a look at the iriver clix2. It has a new AMOLED screen and I heard is fantastic for video. Not many buttons just the D click system. I should be getting my 8gb today or tomorrow can't wait

2.2-inch screen with 320 X 240 resolution vs. 800x480 pixels, 4.3'' TFT LCD ???
