Some polar opposite opinions!

I've commented on the cable before to the effect that IMO there's no need to hunt for alternative cables. The stock always felt great to me, and after trying some alternatives I always went back to them. Same goes for the tips. Stock or ++ spirals which are essentially the same are the only ones I'd recommend. That said, fit and comfort will vary like with pretty much all universal IEMs. Almost none can be a TZ700 in that regard!

The 10Ks do benefit from extra juice up to a point, so more power is always nice though that applies to pretty much any high-end phone.

In terms of sound, I'd side with ddlo, nothing else sounds as beautiful as these. Other more technically impressive earphones out there? Sure, plenty. But that's different from feeding your soul. Girl in the ad was right to shed a tear lol

Have you listened to Sennheiser ie900?

They are a bit different, with Eros cable - sounds amazing, easy to say one of the most ergonomic iem on the market, bass is well pronounced, highs mids are good, highs aren’t 10k level, but 10k has a totally diff tuning, I’ll add up in the evening when I’m back home..
the difference to my ear is that ie900 is more holographic sounding.
I wonder have anyone tried Elysian Anni and how they compare to 10k

Hey, As a long time FW10k owner I’d say it’s a pain in the ass - and very difficult earphone. I tried all the best cables avail on the market with it (up to 5000$ range) I tried best daps (not really does improve them or make them sound like they could and should (we all feel the potential here, but it’s just chasing the ghost)
So, honestly, it’s better to get smth else. I’m super disappointed with them. And they’re hard to wear to go. Cherry on top of cake. They’re heavy, bulky, you need Azla xelastec with them and they tend to congest your ear channel creating extra moist- irritation etc which is bad.
it's not surprising that people have different preferences so it's always better to go demo to decide by oneself which one suits him/her better :relaxed:. but for my listening habits (mostly pop and ACG, mostly vocal) and my own taste, i think it's hard to beat this SQ at this price. the female vocals, especially for the japanese ACG type, are so sweet with FW10k. i actually was just going to order fitear titan for my visit but took the chance to test the many iems/headphones in the shop. i compared VE phonix, XE6, Legend EVO and FW10k (and also quite a lot more so i spent almost 2 days there!) side by side back and forth, I definitely prefer FW10k over the phonix without considering the price (maybe also will consider the EVO a bit later as the bass rumbles so strongly! i'll wait and see how my fitear ciems will actually sound like before deciding). i was listeninig to Ado's 行方知れず with FW10k when i'm typing this, absolutely a joy!

it fits quite securely for me (far better than z1r!) but sound isolation is far from very effective so definitely not the best iem on the go. on the NEX going to narita, i could hear a lot of rumbling noise and passengers' conversation (the japanese train is usually very quiet!). i switched to mtw3 midway and all the noise are completely gone! the miracle of science on ANC. i'm not doing cable rolling so no experience on cable matching :)

As Japan reopens to tourists from in 11 Oct, i immediately booked my ticket and accommodation for visiting my favourite traveling destination - Tokyo again!

I spent 2 days in e-earphone and fujiya-avic testing all sorts of overears and iems. Their settings are really user friendly and accommodating.

I'm short, three tiems impressed me a lot which I was seriously considered buying;. Stax x9000 (i didn't buy at the end due to extra care needed for electrostatic cans), fw10k and tz700 (didnt buy either - it's great but just the construction seems not as good as the fw10k).

The fw10000 made me wonder why it's not more popular. Except needing a bit more bass impact and less than great sound isolation, it triumphs almost 99% of iems in most aspects! The soundstage is so big and the treble is so musical. It gets very close to kse1200, my favourite iem, in most aspects. I tried many much more expensive iems on the same day but frankly most can't complete with fw10k on sound quality. I was so impressed when i saw even the cable is made in Japan (and very well made too). And thanks to the record low yen exchange rate, i bought one even i already have way too many iems 😅
I recommend you get a balanced (4.4mm) cable for them; the one I’m currently using is Sony’s MUC-M12SB1, which can be a little challenging to find.

The openness of the 10k was spooky when I first heard it. But even spookier than that is the sheer clarity and ambience of the soundstage.

All frequencies are as audibly distinct as fishes in a bowl. They are all highly-defined and distinct from each other and they all live and breathe in this space.

It’s like you’re seeing sounds with your ears.

Every time I put them on and close my eyes, I get taken into my own little world like the Japanese girl from the commercial back in 2018.

I haven’t spent money on another earphone since, because I’m not convinced there’s anything out there that can recreate the presentation. The other earphones I own (XBA-N3, FXZ-200, IE800 S) don’t do this level of ambience and detail. They almost sound mono by comparison.

Hi team, I wanted ask the Hong Kong head-fiers on whether they have tried the Earrbond Raphael with their FW10000. I've been eyeing it for a while, and curious whether it improves on it.

Cheers.

Joining the FW10000 club, an IEM I’ve been curious about for a while - lands on Tuesday, very excited to finally hear them! From what I’ve read, it seems they’ll excel with genres like modern classical which my Turii Ti are my current go-to, it’ll be interesting to hear how these JVC compete.

Don’t bring your hopes high it’s just an iem
Between the lines - it’s nothing extraordinary- iem with very peculiar tuning

Ah I’ll jump in the spirit of curiosity and exploration of the humble single DD - typically my favourite driver, and always intrigued as to various flavours at different price points.

I'm on my 2nd evening with the FW10K and I love them - certainly a more specialist IEM for my collection, but a wonderful one with where they excel - for me so far, that's with classical / modern classical, and more chilled jazz.

Once you hear them, you cannot forget them.

100%, really wonderful - I've bought and sold many IEMs over the last couple of years, I already know these will remain with me along with a few other classic sets. While I've loved some TOTL multi driver sets, I just keep coming back to single DDs ultimately.

What's the overall signature in a nutshell? If stellar for jazz, is it a mids rich set? I've always been curious about this IEM as well.
