SF series isn’t a good fit, I have them and they are too small. It is meant for a deeper penetration of ear channel, I’ll try getting bigger size. Will post pic later

Not that anyone should care, and certainly probably will sound wishy washy, but my thoughts on the 10Ks have been evolving, swinging back and forth for a while.
My initial thoughts on what the FW10Ks were good at has been waning lately as, despite the amazing timbre, I just wasn't getting the transients and resonance I've come to love so much from the KSE1200s.
But today I was listening to Missy Higgins on the 10Ks, and for the first time, I felt that the 10Ks are actually better than the KSE1200s when it comes to female vocals. So then I tested Sara Bareilles, Alicia Keys (her older albums), Leona Lewis, Patty Griffin, Lucie Silvas, Aguilera, Laura Pausini, Celine Dion, and felt for all of these, I PREFER the 10Ks over the KSE1200s.
That was a real happy shocker after being somewhat lackluster on them these past couple of weeks.
The only exception was Norah Jones, which, for some reason, still sounded better to me on the KSE1200 and even the inexpensive CCA NRA. Not sure why.
All in all, a happy surprise.
Listening to Missy Higgins on the 10Ks right now, and loving it.

Since some unexpected expenses have come up for me I'm listing my two remaining backup pairs -- Yes, I'm a crazy guy who gets multiple backups for things he absolutely adores, like these IEMs, for a greater sense of security.
Both are JP market Victor branded ones. One is a pair that I had just bought earlier this month from an authorized retailer so besides being brand new and unopened is still under warranty: https://www.head-fi.org/classifieds...niversary-wood-series-hi-res-earphones.27991/
The other I bought a while ago from a JP seller as "new open box": https://www.head-fi.org/classifieds...niversary-wood-series-hi-res-earphones.28263/
If anyone's interested in either, send me a message!
If I can sell one of them I'll probably de-list the other, but may also end up having to sell both, we'll see.

Getting back to You guys!
Some updates on the FW10k,
Well they outplayed Dunu Luna, on a reference listening - JVCs were more pronounced , very linear and more detailed overall in comparison to Luna.
And they DO benefit from power, in some aspects that reminds me of Etymotic earphones - the more power - the better.
Surprisingly, they very well match with Daps like Fiio M17, (being Sabre based - isn’t a curse, remember the Hibino R10, dx100 Japanese upgraded brother?) with lots of space , punchy lows and mid lows(yes they do exist) and excellent treble - these are shining!
Enjoying every bits of them.
Try using Azla xelastec- they really help with the weight of jvcs, and they have a dead grip.

you lose a lot of the soundstage and trebles if you switch out of the spiral dots.Getting back to You guys!

Let me listen today again and test it,
I can do my testing using spiral dots ++ or newest horn shaped ep-fx11

Hello everybody! There are 2 small air outlet holes on the fw10000 housing. Below them, in a small depression, a black plane is visible. What is it, the driver itself, or some kind of damping material? Dust and earwax get into these holes, how much can this be critical for sound quality?

I'm not sure
For FW-01 we can see white material in the holes, it's exactly a damper, as shown in the diagram.

The sound I’ve getting lately from these is very cohesive and “‘musical”. Lush vocals, depth, instrument placement — a presentation that just puts you “there” in the music. Just a pure pleasure to listen to.
EDIT:
I will say this is where these hit a turning point for me: the sound of shifting air in the first few seconds of this song, is well-defined in 3D space. I've never quite heard anything like it.

As Japan reopens to tourists from in 11 Oct, i immediately booked my ticket and accommodation for visiting my favourite traveling destination - Tokyo again!
I spent 2 days in e-earphone and fujiya-avic testing all sorts of overears and iems. Their settings are really user friendly and accommodating.
I'm short, three tiems impressed me a lot which I was seriously considered buying;. Stax x9000 (i didn't buy at the end due to extra care needed for electrostatic cans), fw10k and tz700 (didnt buy either - it's great but just the construction seems not as good as the fw10k).
The fw10000 made me wonder why it's not more popular. Except needing a bit more bass impact and less than great sound isolation, it triumphs almost 99% of iems in most aspects! The soundstage is so big and the treble is so musical. It gets very close to kse1200, my favourite iem, in most aspects. I tried many much more expensive iems on the same day but frankly most can't complete with fw10k on sound quality. I was so impressed when i saw even the cable is made in Japan (and very well made too). And thanks to the record low yen exchange rate, i bought one even i already have way too many iems

Hey, As a long time FW10k owner I’d say it’s a pain in the ass - and very difficult earphone. I tried all the best cables avail on the market with it (up to 5000$ range) I tried best daps (not really does improve them or make them sound like they could and should (we all feel the potential here, but it’s just chasing the ghost)
So, honestly, it’s better to get smth else. I’m super disappointed with them. And they’re hard to wear to go. Cherry on top of cake. They’re heavy, bulky, you need Azla xelastec with them and they tend to congest your ear channel creating extra moist- irritation etc which is bad.
