I knew life in Maine was off the beaten path and a slow, excellent quality life, but....
Fantastic preview review!
I gotta say, MAYA is my go-to reference CIEM. It has replaced my Noble K10.

By the way, it was great meeting you at this year's RMAF, looking forward to chatting with you again!
Don't get me wrong. I love Noble too and still love my K10 (and 6 and 3 and 4C...). It is just that my preferences have slightly changed and I have moved away from an overall warmish preference to a more neutral one (while still taking some extra bass). If I am honest, I actually like the Katana sound more these days than the K10. Don't take my post as me saying that the MAYA is technically better than the K10. It isn't. It is just, for me and my preferences right now, I have found myself reaching more and more for my MAYA. That doesn't mean that I don't bring both my Wizard K10 and my MAYA in my bag with me everywhere I go. I am not offering an attack, or outright trash talking the K10. You would be hard pressed to find a bigger supporter and cheerleader of the K10 than me. I don't need to see the K10 pedigree. One of my reviews here gives the K10 5 stars, and is one of the many reviews that gives the K10 its #1 rating here. All I am doing is posting my honest opinion here in another manufacturer's thread. For me, yes, the MAYA is more of my personal reference these days. That doesn't mean that I don't also love my K10. It is just that my tastes have slightly changed, and sometimes I find myself thinking that my K10 is a darker sound than I want at that time. That doesn't mean that a dark sound is wrong or isn't enjoyable. Sometimes my mood shifts, and again, if I am honest, it may shift back to my K10 again in the future.
FWIW, I very much look forward to hearing the Encore. It may very well be preferable to me to the MAYA. It will also cost me 2.5x as much as the MAYA. Even so, I very well may place an order for one (after listening to it at this year's RMAF), even though I already have a much-used and much-loved K10. But please don't take me talking about my own opinions about another manufacturer's products as an attack on you, your work, or on your company. No such attack was intended.

That is OK, Noble retired the K10 as well, despite its pedigree:
- Hi-Fi World Magazine - Headphone of the Year
- Hi-Fi+ Magazine - CIEM of the Year
- Enjoy the Music - 2015 Blue Note Award
- AVForums - Best Buy Headphones and Earphones
- Part Time Audiophile - Editor’s Choice
- Headfonics – CIEM of 2015 (Writer’s Choice)
- Headphone.guru - 2015 Writer’s Choice Award
- InnerFidelity - Wall of Fame
- Head-Fi.org - #1 Rated In-Ear Product
- Head-Fi.org – #1 Rated Custom In-Ear Product
- Headfonics - IEM of 2015 (Writer’s Choice)
- Audio-Head – Favorite Bits of 2015
No need to get all uppity John. Not everyone needs to love the K10, Encore or otherwise.

Uppity?
Sq3rjick retires his K10, and I say that's OK, as Noble retired the K10 as well.... if anything, that is an affirmation and an agreement for Sq3rjick's decision, the K10 is tired, time to turn another corner.
It had a great run, (according to the pedigree) but that mountain has been climbed, time for something else.
That's great and all and I'm happy that you're updating your lineup, but is it necessary to bring this into a Vibro Labs thread...?
